August 1999:
My old faithful 386 just died, leaving me with three computers that
can't access the Internet. Fortunately, I now have a job, so updates
will still be happening, just on someone else's time.
August finds Ani no longer touring, but entering the studio to put out yet another CD. There are also rumors of two poetry books coming out of Righteous Babe Records. One by Sekou Sundiata, and the other by Ani herself. I'm already twitching at the Jewel comparisons. In other news, Ani continues to damage her credibility by touring this August with Alanis Mor . . oh wait, that's not Ani, never mind. I wonder what it is with money oriented musicians having my name in theirs . . . If Righteous Babe stays on schedule, we should see the Sekou Sundiata and Arto Lindsay CDs in September. A pessimist would place their release dates at late fall, early winter. I saw a Lindsay CD in a local used CD store and picked it up. Ani groupies might want to stay away. People with good taste will not. In page news, I've succumbed to popular web culture and started a poll. The difference is I wrote the scripts that run it myself, so there's sure to be a lot of glitches, (but no ads!) Go vote!
