September 1999:
It's the most, wonderful time of the year. It's September, and for the
first time in almost 20 years I will not be in a classroom. Quite frankly,
I'm not dealing well with the whole situation. Grade me, rank me,
twitch twitch.
She wore her raspberry br-aids, the kind that you find in a second hand
store. She wore her raspberry br-aids, and if it were up to me, she'd
lose half the band, fall off the face of the earth and start playing small
clubs again. Fortunately, its not up to me.
In case you couldn't guess
by my maligning of the purple litigious one, the long rumored
collaboration between Ani and 'The Artist' seems to be happening. We
have official word that Ani will be appearing on 'The Artist's' newest CD,
while I have unofficial word that 'The Artist' will be showing
up on Ani's new CD.
In other news, the hardest working woman in show business is getting
ready for the next leg of the never ending tour. Dates can be found on
the Flem/Tam
site, because I'm too lazy and disinterested. According to our sources
(read AJ), the show with
the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra has been postponed to June 8,
2000. And we expect bar owners to be able to deal with a DiFranco
rush.
ICE Magazine has
reported that the Arto Lindsay CD that's being put out by RBR,
(Prize), will hit shelves October 19th. There has been no
official word out of RBR, who seem to have learned to control
premature release dates, (it's a common occurrence in younger,
inexperienced record labels).
It has been brought to my attention that I'm using this web page to take
pot shots at the pop culture pantheon and Ani's place in it. It has also
been brought to my attention that the sky is blue.
Finally, in the always exciting non-RBR news, look for me at the Andy
Stochansky show in Rochester on September 1st.
As always, the cartoon in the logo is Zach's, so contact him
before you use it anywhere.
